【Function and Purpose】

    Shengli SL-58 digital electrical spark leakage detector is a dedicated device to test the construction quality together with micropores and air gaps due to aging and corrosion of coatings on such metal surfaces as oil and gas pipelines, cables, enamels, metal tanks, and ship hulls.

【Detection Principles and Methodology】

    The resistance and the air gap density are very small at under coating, metal-exposed, and leakage micropores on the anti-corrosive and insulative coating of metal pipes, so when the high voltage passes through, the gap breakdown forms to generate spark discharge, giving out a pulse signal to the alarm circuit, and the alarm sounds with light. That’s how the digital electrical spark detector conducts leakage detection on the anti-corrosive coating.
